Don't worry it's not a dive!

The highlight of the place is the 50 minute guided tour of HMS Alliance with a real ex-submariner. Our guide (stoker) Jim served on the Alliance.The museum itself is rather disjointed with exhibits all over the site. Some buildings are a bit tatty whereas others are top-notch.Overall it's good value for money - look on-line for discount vouchers (25% off).A good idea to combine with a visit to the historic dockyard or Gunwarf Quays and get the water bus over to the museum's jetty.The restaurant was being refurbished on our visit so can't comment.
