I have been training at crofton for 5 years now, its a friendly club that teaches traditional karate. Sensi Alan is an excellent teacher who makes all classes enjoyable to be in. It has also given me confidence in myself as well as confidence to compete at larger events.
I joined crofton school of karate in 2006, I don't know why I did not join sooner. The training is Traditional karate, as tort by the (JKA) JAPAN KARATE ASSOCIATION. I have trained at different clubs in my time since(1978). I find the lessons by sensei Alan Lewis (5th DAN) are of a very high standard & would recommend this club to anyone that wish to take up KARATE. KURO OBI Ian
Been training @ Crofton for four years now. Made some really good friends and enjoy my lessons each week. My fitness is improving and am more confident when entering SEKU and national karate competitions. Very big thankyou to all the instructors @ Crofton!
I have been training with SEKU as an organisation for over 20 years. I have also in my time trained with Ishin Ryu in London and SKI in the South. I can sincerely say that SEKU is one of the best organisations to train in and Sensei Alans club upholds the old traditional values as well as incorporating modern changes and standardisations. Crofton karate club is a very welcoming and friendly club.
I joined Crofton karate club when I was 6 years old. Have been training for 3 years now and I love it. sensei alan is a great teacher as are all the sempeis that teach there.
A great club to be a member of. Everyone is helpful and whatever level you train at everyone is willing to assist. Sensi Alan is an excellent teacher and takes the time with all students. If you are looking to start to train in the best form of Karate, I would suggest this will be the best place to start from white belt and well into your black belts!! See you soon :)
I have only been a member here for 3 months but I love it. The club and the people there are so welcoming and friendly. Sensei Alan is a brilliant teacher as are the higher grades, who will always take their time to help others.
Having trained at this club and within the organisation as a whole, i can highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about traditional karate or even as a means to improve general fitness & or confidence.
This club offers both a high standard of instruction and a warm friendly atmosphere welcoming people of all ages and abilities. Backed by one of the country's most respected shotokan organisations "S.E.K.U", it knocks spots of other clubs around this area. Sensei Alan has many years of experience and is a wonderful teacher!
