Two weeks ago I had to buy a charger for my Iphone as I'd lost it, so until I could get a proper replacement thought I'd get a cheap stand-in. How wrong I was!! On Sunday night I plugged my phone in as normal and went to bed. About 10 minutes later my phone vibrated. Annoyed at who would text me at this time I got up and went to get my phone to find the top of the charger in pieces, yet still plugged in and exposing the wires. The casing had fallen into two and two little metal inserts with wires had fallen out. As the wires were exposed and still plugged in I was actually extremely shocked at the state of this charger and thankful that I had looked rather than pick up my phone in a sleepy state not realising the state of it!!! So naturally we take it back to the shop. (he doesn't hand out receipts so had no proof of purchase). He accused us of pulling it apart ourselves. He eventually gave us a refund (it was only £5 so not the end of the world). But he did it very begrudgingly. My phone is completely dead as I now have no charger. If I pulled it apart it would be if I had a back up which I don't. I now have to wait until pay day until I can buy a proper Iphone charger not from a cheap knock off shop. I really wish I had gone to trading standards instead. So buyer beware - not only may you get possibly electrocuted but you'll also get the blame from the buyer!!!
