We're in pest control ... yes that taboo subject everyone likes to avoid. Although there is the stereotypical grim side of the job there is also scope for it to be hugely positive too by preferring to focus on the prevention, control, education and conservation.

Prevention: helping to prevent infestations becoming established by close monitoring and/or proofing works.

Control: if we are contacted after a problem has occurred we implement measures to reduce numbers.

Education: making people aware of what 'pest' actually means and that usually it is just a creature in an undesirable place along with laws surrounding certain animals, even pests.

Conservation: finding the balance with nature and providing an environment safe for all inhabitants especially non-target and protected species.

Pest control wasn't something we were naturally drawn to (helping landowners control pigeon and rabbit numbers yes, but actual commercial pest control, no) but when we came across a website whilst looking for an employed job for Gordon and there in front of us was a company offering business opportunities and it just seemed a perfect fit for us. It was something we could do together, we could work it around our family and it meant we would be in control of our own lives and being able to provide job opportunities for our children if they so choose in the future.

As avid nature lovers and outdoor pursuit enthusiasts we love nothing more than appreciating the wonderful countryside we have on the south coast and we feel we can provide a balanced perspective on how people perceive animals to be pests or not.
